This is the latest release of MVR Fixture Importer.

Features

  • Auto Console/Titan Detection — Automatically detects available Titan consoles or sessions on the network.
  • Patch and Import Feedback — The app now provides feedback on the result of a patch and import operation. See Patch Report.
  • Internal Visualiser Position Updates — Fixture positions in the internal visualiser can now be updated. See Update Internal Visualiser.
  • View Wireframe — A basic wireframe view of the MVR file is now available, showing fixture positions as squares with patch information displayed alongside them. Fixture types can be shown or hidden within this view. Hovering over a fixture displays a tooltip with its Name, Unit Number, Universe, Address, Type, and Mode. See View Wireframe.
  • Fixture Selection in Wireframe View — Fixtures in the wireframe view can now be selected. Click a fixture to select it, Shift-click to add or remove it from the selection, or drag to lasso-select multiple fixtures at once. The left mouse button is now dedicated to selection; orbiting has moved to the middle mouse button. See View Wireframe.
  • UI Updated — Windows are now resizable and the layout has been updated.
  • Auto-Fixture Match — Fixture matches are now selected automatically as soon as fixture types are parsed; the manual Auto-Match button has been removed. See MVR Data & Fixture Config.
  • Halo Colour on Patch — The Patch options dialog now includes a halo colour choice — No Halo, Avolites System Colours, or MVR Colours — applied to fixtures automatically once patching and group creation complete. See Patch Options.
  • Streamlined Patch OptionsCreate Standard Groups and Create Groups/Layouts from 3D Position are now presented in a dedicated Patch options dialog alongside the halo colour choice, rather than as checkboxes on the main window. See Patch Options.

Bug Fixes

  • First connection attempt — The app no longer fails on the first connection attempt of a session.
  • Capture Visualiser — The internal visualiser no longer shows ghost fixtures when stage elements are deleted or changed before updating with the MVR Fixture Importer app.
  • Capture Visualiser Settings — Stage elements in the Capture Visualiser Settings window now correctly register after updating. Closing and reopening the Capture Visualiser window is no longer required, and stage element boxes now display their legend. Stage elements are no longer deleted when updating; their opacity is instead set to 0.
warning

This fix applies only when the Capture Visualiser and Capture Visualiser Settings windows were opened and fully loaded before saving the showfile that is parsed via MVR Fixture Importer. This is because Capture Visualiser must fully initialise before it can be edited.

Known Issues

  • 3D position group layouts — Due to this feature being experimental, generated group layouts may produce undesirable results in some cases. Currently only straight rigs are handled reliably; circular rigs are not yet supported.
  • Battens when updating internal visualiser positions — Most fixture types should work correctly when updating internal visualiser positions, however battens can be problematic. Battens will take on the correct X, Y, and Z coordinates but the rotation may be incorrect.
