Getting Started with MVR Fixture Importer

Importing an MVR

  1. Create a new Titan showfile
  2. Connect to your Titan console
  3. Click Open MVR to load your MVR file and extract the fixture data
  4. Review the matched fixtures in the MVR Data & Fixture Config section and adjust any matches as needed
  5. Click Patch Fixtures to open the Patch Options window
  6. Choose your group creation and halo options, then press Patch
  7. Once patching has completed, a Patch Report window will open — use this to see if fixtures successfully patched, were skipped, or failed
  8. Open the internal Capture Visualiser and Capture Visualiser Settings windows in Titan to initialise them
tip

Before saving, it is important to initialise the internal Capture Visualiser. You can do this by simply opening the Capture Visualiser and Capture Visualiser Settings windows in Titan.

warning

If you do not initialise the Capture Visualiser before saving, you may find that when you open the updated showfile, you need to open, close, and reopen the Capture Visualiser in order to see the stage elements in the Capture Visualiser Settings.

  1. Save your Titan showfile

Updating the Internal Visualiser

If no MVR file has been opened, open an MVR file — but if you have just patched fixtures, you can leave the MVR file currently loaded.

  1. Click Patch Fixtures again to open the Patch Options window
  2. Press Update Internal Visualiser
  3. Select your Titan showfile
  4. Press Update All from MVR
  5. Press Save to Showfile
  6. Open the new showfile with the MVR Positions prefix in Titan
  7. Close MVR Fixture Importer and program!
